Wayne, glad to see you had a successful maiden voyage!
I had a little punt a bit smaller than yours, with the electric I added a bit of hardwood next to the motor mount on the transom so I could offset the electric a bit make it a bit more comfortable on the arm holding the motor.

It was a bit uncomfortable. The tiller sits a bit high. I know I can lower it but it is a fairly shallow section of river. I actually found it more comfortable to stand and steer. I'll offset it next time to see if that is better.

Fitz I went out the Logan near Marks Rocks. Ended up sitting on the same sand bank I would go to if I was in my kayak because the livies were so hard to find. I had a plan of getting some and exploring new spots but it didn't pan out that way. I want to try and get into the Venus pool area of the Brissy River. Just haven't got around to it yet. Need to find a suitable launch spot. Haven't found my way to Kooka Park yet to see how it faired after the floods. Got wheels for the tinny so a bit of a drag is all good. Hmm you don't see too many purple boats now do you...nah bugger that it's an old shitter, why bother painting it.

Hi WayneD,
I wanted one of those,,,  but ended up with 11 ft DeHavinand  and trailer for $100. Just a lucky buy, it was inn excellant condition....
Don't know where you live, but  as I've paddled and motored around the canals , I always see tinnies , beached , hardly ever used. You  should knock on their door and ask if they want to get rid of them.....
maybe worth a try...

Decided she needed a deck on the front. More so for storage rather than a casting deck. Got sick of tripping over everything on the first trip when getting to the anchor and in/out the boat. Bit of aluminium angle, ply and a lick of carpet and it's come up trumps.

The deck is removable and sits pretty flat to the top of the gunnel and is held in place by bungy cord. The carpet is not glued to the ply so it is easy to clean. The bungy holds it in place as well. To access underneath I just unclip the bungy's at the seat and lift it up. The front bungy acts like a hinge.

Got enough carpet to cover the floors and seats as well. I may glue the seat carpet on but the rest will be removable.

I've still got a sweetwater sticker squirreled away with all the other stickers I have accumulated over the years. Pretty sure it was from the first ever convention.

Maybe I should use up all these stickers on the tinny. Better than having them sitting in my garage and not seeing the light of day!!
