Fished a section of Tenterfield Creek on thursday via private property. I borrowed a light weight canoe to make it easier to get in & out of the hard to get to holes.
The fishing was initially very slow but ended up landing half a dozen Murray Cod & a couple of Golden Perch. Had another one landed when walking so I let it swim off with the lure while I walked the 10 steps back to the canoe to get pliers, that one threw the lure. Had another cod chase the lure in to my feet and give me a shower before darting back to its snag.
The section in the video where the camera is on the ground produced 4 cod, the last one kept coming back & hitting the lure (agro little bugger) until it finally inhaled it, luckily I'd crushed the barbs on the hooks as the rear one was actually in its throat, it came out very easily with no injury or bleeding..
I fished surface lures (paddlers), spinnerbaits and hard body lures. The only lure that caught anything on the day was a Garra Lure in green/black stripes. Didn't so much as get a follow on spinnerbaits or the paddlers.
Some pretty water in there, but it's hard yakka between holes, at one stage the creek is currently running underground so it's close to a kilometer carry from one hole to where the water comes back to the surface.
Anhow, here's some video.
