Title: Tinaroo
Post by: takrat on May 10, 2011, 07:28:28 PM
Went out to Tinaroo today, the dam is at 100% and flowing well over the spillway. There has been plenty of vegetation drowned so I'll be fishing it for the nexxt couple of days to find out whether it's working (for me) or not.
Cheers,
JD

Hope you get into a few mate. Was up there last friday and and had a typically tough session although I was not there at a particularly good time(middle of the day) Only had 1 hit for the day and it was one of those insanly quick hit and reject type of strikes. Some decent water still at around 23 deg in parts but she is starting to cool off quickly now. Anyway good luck and will be interested to hear how you do.

Might be heading up there on Sunday for a few casts....depends how the night before goes  :)

Got a few last trip, and conditions have changed for the better over last few days.

Should be firing red hot shortly, and time of day matters very very little up there, however weather conditions do

Let us know how you go

Matt

Blimey that's pretty hard core.  Once here I had to open the oven and let it rip for a couple of hours to warm the house.

You may have to resort to a jumper ;D

Seriously though the temp is dropping quickly here. The Cairns post even had a story about it. Apparently it reached 15.8 deg one morning :thumbsup

Blokes I had to go into town and buy a jumper. Tinaroo must have got down to about 9 degrees, one morning in Mareeba we had 12. As far as Mug's camp is concerned, that's too bloody hardcore for me. Bones ached just looking at that camp.
