Title: Couple of hours and a couple of yellas
Post by: Haynesy on May 13, 2013, 08:04:04 PM
Having had a great 3 days recently with my family that included trips to the city and to all the local playgrounds in the NSW Highlands it was nice to spend some quality time with the main team. By the Saturday night my mum and sister had gone home, the kids were worn out and I was happy to call it a weekend and do nothing on Sunday. Until........ My wife says "shame you missed the trip with the boys this weekend with your mum's visit locked in- why don't you get up early tomorrow and go fis..................

I was pretty sure she said that magic word and by now I was in the shed packing the yak and gear.

Up at 3.00am and I headed west for a few hours to some nice native water. Launched with the Sun already rising high and hitting the glass - After an hour of exploring and casting and trolling I jagged a nice little Yellow Belly on a Jackall and then another fatter version an hour later. It was worth the drive and I was stoked - it just topped off a great long weekend. Gave the wife a big hug when I got home to say Thanks for that.  And yes she did say fishing....

G'Day Haynesy,

A great report mate. Nothing better than some secluded sweetwater location and getting a couple of gorgeous native fish.

Thanks for sharing.........  :thumb
