Lake Baroon temporarily closed to all water based recreation (UPDATED Friday, 11 October 2013) - SEQWater

As a precautionary measure and in the interest of public safety, Lake Baroon has been temporarily closed to all water-based recreation activities since Tuesday, 10 September 2013.

Most recent water quality test results indicate that the lake will remain closed. Please note there are no increased risks to users of the land-based recreational areas.

Seqwater will continue to perform water quality testing at Lake Baroon, and the lake will be reopened as soon as possible.

For further information please see the Seqwater blue-green algae fact sheet.
