Brisbane river-last dance with the wivenhoe escapees
« on: May 31, 2011, 07:51:51 PM »
Hit the river again this afternoon with some great company , StevenM and WayneD . Weather was a little cloudy at first but broke to a nice sunny afternoon . Over 40 Bass landed between the 3 of us with the biggest going 55cm I think . I managed to catch and release another 2 tagged bass aswell .

Cheers,
Dave.

Your leg muscles will fade away now that you're not going up and down that cliff every day.

What?  You're going to do 90 leg squats between now and September 1st?

I dropped in for a look at your launching spot on Monday arvo & was glad I was not trying to drag my beast out of there, was puffing enough just hauling myself back up :-[

Will either have to get a smaller yak or loose some weight before next season. :)

Cheers Andrew

And away we go

Was going to take a shirt load of pics, but after that it was just the fishing.

One of Waynes early ones

One of Daves early ones

And one of my early ones

Dave doing surgery

Wayne getting stitched up and a sleigh ride

Checkout the face on Dave. Looks like he is trying to squeeze one out and smile for the camera at the one time.

Another Wayne job

And some more pups

Lads

Once again thanks for the company. Always enjoy it. Was the usual laughs and banter. Some not so ceremonious release of fish.

A few meatos in a ten foot punt with 20 blokes and 9 kids, that’s 58 bass that they can take right.

Anyway, bring on September 1

Anyway, bring on September 1

September the 1st falls on a Thursday , we might all have to be sick again :)

Your leg muscles will fade away now that you're not going up and down that cliff every day.

Dale , I'll have to dust off the Hobie and drag that around the top end of BigW. Those things weigh a tonne .

But I am going to upgrade that goat track though with a chainsaw and a shovel over the closed season . On the weekend I saw a couple of fellas in a large canoe , dozen or so rods and a minn kota , it took them half a dozen trips to get all their cr@p up to the car .

Cheers,
Dave.
