Had a quick trip down to the Gold Coast hinterland mon arvo and tues morning. Plan was to get 2 of my grand daughters on to thier first bass. I hooked up to one and let the youngest wind it in and then hooked up again and looked around and they were both back in the car bored.
So after they left I had a session on my own down a very skinny water creek as can be seen in one of the pics. Managed several nice size bass and a heap of rats some not much bigger than the lure. All up about 30 then headed back to sons property to enjoy some late arvo surface action.
Awoken early next morning at 3.30am by a message of happy new year on my phone. Headed to the loo where I was greeted by a red belly black snake laying beside the bowl, after removing snake and having a cuppa it was daylite so back down to the creek for some more fishing. Caught a couple more before the days before exploring caught up with me and decided to head back home early.
Finished 2012 bass fishing and started 2013 bass fishing heaven heaven heaven :youbeauty :youbeauty :youbeauty

Snake must of had a big new years night if he was lining up the bowl at 3 in the morning ;)
Always hard to get kids attention for more than a few minutes these days Dino. Luckily mine are big enough to leave at home these days!

haha this spot is starting to get a few visitors now, i only live up the road and been fishing there for quite a while now its been better then ever
