All SEQ water dams now open except!

Hinze Dam (Advancetown Lake) Eastern Boat Ramp remains closed to public access (Wednesday, 13 February)
As a result of damage to the access road caused by the recent extreme weather event, the Eastern Boat Ramp at Hinze Dam will remain closed until further notice, pending rectification work.

Water-based recreation activities
 
On Tuesday 29 January 2013, all Seqwater lakes were CLOSED to water-based recreation activities in the interests of public health and safety, as a result of the significant rain event. 
 
All Seqwater lakes have now been re-opened to all permitted water-based recreation activities. Please note:

    Baroon Pocket Dam is open for boating, kayaking and canoeing but not swimming.
    The Eastern Boat Ramp at Hinze Dam remains closed, pending rectification work on the access road.

Cant wait to see Hinze at FSL.

This picture shows the hold up re the eastern ramp at Hinze Dam.

The picture of a land slide on the access road was taken on Jan 30, and a few days ago the clay was nice and dry on the graded bypass track seen in the picture.

Up to the right out of picture was a clay cliff face with the whole section only grass cover, and after copping about 300mms of rain in a couple of days during the big wet it all turned to pug and slipped.

Had a look at the western ramp at Hinze today Friday 15 and the gauge still showing 0.50m above the spillway.

Water was level with the top of the concrete ramp.
