Title: Lake Somerset, Westvale Road ramp closed
Post by: aussiebasser on February 17, 2016, 02:43:15 PM
SEQWater have advised that the Westvale Road ramp at the top of Lake Somerset is closed to Trailer Boats until further notice. With the lake dropping to 80% capacity the water level is too low to safely use this ramp. They have advised that they intend to extend the ramp while the water is low.  We'll let you know when it re-opens.

I don't think it will for some time while the lake is at a lowered level for dam wall / gates upgrade. Be kayak launch only, no boats.

Called SEQ to confirm as I plan to explore it this Saturday, lady on the phone informed me that it is open still but she didn't sound super confident - anyone recently checked it out?
