Title: Murray River Corowa
Post by: Slates on February 13, 2016, 08:07:17 AM
Beautiful stretch of the Murray flanked by two ripper country towns - Corowa and Wahgunyah. An 8 knot zone extends down downstream from the main road bridge joining the towns for about 2km. The river averages about 4m with good snags both sides and does have a few sand bars so keep an eye on the sounder. Good boat ramps under the main bridge and a few km downstream at the Lions Park. Bush camping available in a few locations downstream that I saw but did not look too far into it.

You were a week too early mate.  I'll be in Rutherglen on the 19th for a couple of days.  I worked in Wahgunyah for a couple of years.
