WARWICK REGION FISHING REPORT 11 FEBRUARY 2014

LESLIE DAM: (http://www.sweetwaterfishing.com.au/leslie.htm) Leslie Dam continues to fish quite well with anglers having reasonable success, mainly on shrimps and saltwater yabbies in the main basin.  Numbers haven't been huge but the fish at have been landed have been quality fish.  We also had reports of 2 legal sized Murray Cod landed early Sunday morning on trolled hard body lures.  One was landed up past the "Black Boys" and the other was across from the dam wall.  Land based anglers managed a few fish, mainly using bait.  Campers at the Washpool Reserve landed a few legal sized Golden Perch just below the campground.

CONNOLLY DAM: (http://www.sweetwaterfishing.com.au/Connolly.htm) Connolly Dam is fishing quite well, particularly in late afternoon.  There we a few nice Golden Perch, measuring up to 45cm, landed on hard body lures.  Anglers from Kayaks had success along the rocky edges of the western bank.  There were also a few legal sized Murray Cod landed on spinnerbaits and saltwater yabbies.  There were also a number of large Catties caught along the eastern bank on worms.

RIVERS/CREEKS:  The Condamine River in the town area has been a little slow.  Students from Scots College had success up near the weir on spinnerbaits and small hard body lures.  There were also reports of a few fish landed below the racecourse.
Anglers at Pratten also managed to land several large Carp, a few smaller Golden Perch and a couple of Catfish.
There have also been a few Carp removed from the river at Murrays Bridge.
