I've seen a couple of Sleepy Cod that docile they haven't moved until given a good poke with a stick. Maybe a better name would have been Dopey Cod.....
Be good to see that footage tho PD.  :thumbsup

Nice work PD. I recon that sleepy was hanging close for a reason. I don't think they lay eggs on lilly pads / stems, but it could be...

If that location is where I think it is, that Sleepy Cod didn't read the fisheries regs that read they shouldn't be there. Another Sasquatch species release???

Tell Waspenhiemer to Giddy Up!!  :thumbsup

Paul

I was wrong, wasn't thinking the Duck Pond. Sleepy Cod are illegally introduced to the Gregory River system. Im not keen on getting threatened with court action again so I won't name names (again) publicly  C:-) , but I'll chat to you next time we're sharing a boat or a feed/frosty at the sports club.... Better be soon BTW mate.  :thumbsup

Cool video Paul, good call Fitz would be inclined to say he is guarding eggs, lots of Eleotrids use lilly's. Seepy's tend to deposit eggs on the top surface of hollow logs and in nooks and caves. Had a pond guy who used the bottom of a boogy board that had breeding mops hanging off it.

Cheers
