THanks Paul good tip on the Stradic. I live near Lismore but have a mate in a tackle shop I bought the reel from and he does a lot of that sort of work. I'll see if he can fit me in. Bad news about the turtles, but once again underlines the problem with nets and estuaries legal or other wise. It would be interesting to find out how many nets got sent seawards with all the water ouring out during the floods. I'm heading north to fish places like Karumba, Hinchinbrook and the Daintree on the 1st of May, any other wise words you want to offer?

John sounds like a great trip coming up for you,I've only fished the Daintree once and that was solo from a hire tinny years ago but got Jacks Barra and Sooties right up in the fresh,fish hard and watch for crocs!!Hinhy is on the bucket list though as are many other places!!!
I doubt any nets would have been swept away unless they were from shamature netters because the pro's can't leave nets un-attended so they wouldn't loose theirs.

G/day CCFISHER Thanks I love using it,It's a Go Pro Hero with a water proof casing that's all I know about it as it was given to me by good mate Randall Bryett from the US,I don't have any paper work on it but I think if you googled go pro you'd find it.
Great lil cameras for this sort of stuff.
