Kurwongbah today
« on: January 06, 2012, 06:22:21 PM »
PRFMA and Matt from SEQ fish put 16000 golden Perch fingerlings in to Lake Kurwongbah today.
Daughters birthday, so thought it would be nice to have her down to assist. Really good turnout today, maybe 30 people to assist? Last year it was my sons and I as the only helpers that showed up!

Local Councillor David Dwyer Showed up to assist, and Barry Tucker, long suffering PRFMA treasurer, organised a local reporter to come take some photos (or as one wag put it, get the Councillor's photo in the paper to help with next years grant!). Seriously David has been a great friend of the PRFMA and local fishing community for years.

And of course it wouldn't be Kurwongbah without at least one of these tearing around. You'll notice it is a vintage unit, no stereo system mounted on big bars  ;D

Good onya guys and all those involved in the PRMFA for giving up their time to secure a fishery for the majority in the future. Lets hope some sort of arrangement can be brokered to allowed non powered craft in there to fish. Well done Pat.
