Flic & I went for a paddle on the Stanley River upstream of Lake Somerset yesterday afternoon. Was only a short paddle of a couple of hours, mostly paddling but had a few casts and trolled for a little bit.
Pulled one yellowbelly on a Garra lure.
Water looks quite clear and high, the lake must be full. Bankside vegetation looks to have recorvered quite well in most places from previous floods.
Noted a little bit of hyacinth weed in a feeder creek.
A beautiful peice of water for a couple of hours paddling.
Don't have any pictures but have a bit of video, will upload it later.
