Hey Brett,
I got into a big Tarpon bite at Miara near Bundaberg last year. I was just letting lightly weighted softies drift down into where they were feeding and hanging on. Great fun!THat young bloke will have a few yarns to tell back at school eh.

They are some good sized Tarpon there or should we really be calling them Ox Eyed Herring ? Much of a muchness really their still great fun on the light gear especially fly. Send 'em up here and I'll chuck the #4 weight at it. Pat.

just waiting for them to roll and look for the burp bubbles, then cast in general area . they are fairly thick at the moment and do not have to wait long to see them roll. kookaburra park downstream has a massive population rolling there but just have not tricked them yet..

Yep. Def the best way to chase them. I occasionally get a few while fishing for oother species but casting to the rolls is almost a guarantee of getting a bite.  Very few people upp this way actually chase them due to a bad case of Barra fever but I reckon they are missing out.
