Title: Lake Maroon Recreation Update
Post by: Editor on February 15, 2011, 10:36:16 PM
Recreation Update (Monday, 14 February 2011)
Lake Maroon has been closed to all water based recreation activities from 6am Friday, 11 February 2011 due to water quality issues. The lake will remain closed until further notice.

Seqwater will advise as conditions change, and will re-open the lake to recreation activities as soon as possible.

The recreation sites that remain closed at Lake Wivenhoe are O’Shea’s Crossing, the Spillway Lookout and Billies Bay/Hays Landing recreation areas. These sites will remain closed until further notice.

Recreation users at all lakes need to remain vigilant for submerged hazards and debris in the lakes. Vessels should be operated in the safest possible manner. Please see the Boating page for further details.

Seqwater is carrying out further work at the recreation sites that remain closed, and will advise as conditions change.

This information will be updated if any significant changes occur.
