Title: Ewen Maddock access changes.

Dear Stakeholder,

The recent recreation review of Ewen Maddock Dam enabled Seqwater to receive some feedback on what is and isn’t working well at this dam. One of the key findings from the review was the level of public dissatisfaction with the current paddle craft access point at Maddock Park.

In light of this feedback, a number of options have been considered to address this feedback. Due to the operational requirements of the dam wall, we are unable to establish a direct access point from the car park to the water’s edge. However, we will be making improvements to the current pathway to reduce the severity of the corner, which should allow users to reach the water with greater ease.  These works are scheduled to commence on Wednesday 12th February 2014. Impacts to users on Wednesday should be minimal, with access to the beach area and water still available while the works are underway.

Towing a trailer? The car park at Maddock Park has been modified to include trailer car parks to assist those traveling with canoes and kayaks.

We hope you enjoy visiting Ewen Maddock Dam.

Kind regards,

Seqwater Recreation Team

Are we allowed to slip a Kayak into the water near the highway end of the dam Dale ?

That area looks so fish able.

I bet you say no.
