The end result of our adventure was a doughnut for both of us.

We did have some laughs, the serenity and scenery was awesome even it was showering off and on all morning.  My brother loved it too which was a big bonus.

The assault on billies bay consisted of spinner baits, soft plastic (got a few hits), hard bodies of floating.  Attacking the shore line, trees, snags which did create a few good bites.

Interestingly though next to nothing was keen on the pilchards.  We used about 3 pilchards the whole time there.  With only 1 good bite that took the bait for a 3m run.
Wrong bait choice or just the fish not in the bitting mood??

Overall it was good morning and  can't wait for round 2, hopefully with better weather

cheers Brad.

Would have thought the local catfish population would have been all over pillies.
Not would I would have tried for Bass though. Whilst other baits will work, none are in the same league as live shrimp.

I was hoping to land big catfish or maybe a eel with the pilchards but nothing.

Hopefully i shall be able to get some shrimp this week and heater for the fishtank so i can start breeding them.  Plus catch some fishies :D
