Thanks Ray,

Individual Recreational Guides

Baroon Pocket Dam (Lake Baroon) Recreational Guide HERE>>>

Ewen Maddock Dam Recreational Guide HERE>>>

I don't see anything different from before?

I did note that both lakes say "no boating permit is currently required". I would read that to mean that there will be a boating permit at some stage.

Group 4 Recreation Guides Released!
Today, (Friday 20th December 2013), the Honourable Mark McArdle MP, Minister for Energy and Water Supply, released the Recreation Guides for Lake Baroon and Ewen Maddock Dam. Seqwater has also released the Recreation Management Plan for these lakes. These documents have been produced after extensive community consultation. Recreation users, local council, local members of parliament, Government departments and the broader community were asked to provide input on what recreational opportunities they would like to see on and around these lakes.
To download a copy of the Recreation Management Plan and Recreation Guides for these two lakes, please visit the Seqwater website. The Recreation Management Plan provides details of the outcomes of the review and implementation timeframes. Each Recreation Guide provides a summary of permitted activities and information regarding proposed changes.
We thank all persons and organisations for their contribution to the review of these two lakes.

What’s around the corner for the review…
With the recreation guides and plans already released for Group 1 (Atkinson, Somerset and Wivenhoe) and Group 4 (Baroon and Ewen Maddock), Seqwater is working hard on releasing the guides and plans for Group 2 (Samsonvale and Kurwongbah) and Group 3 (Maroon, Moogerah and Wyaralong). These documents are due for release early 2014. For a full list of indicative release dates, please visit www.yourseqwater.com.au.

Public consultation for Group 5 (Enoggera, Gold Creek and Manchester) closed today, 20th December 2013. The two workshops for these lakes were held recently and the feedback received during the consultation process will be collated for analysis and review.

Group 6 is open! Public consultation for group 6 is open and will remain open until the 29th of January 2014. Make sure you have your say on recreation at Cooloolabin and Wappa Dams by completing the online surveys available at www.yourseqwater.com.au.

Lakes Clarendon and Dyer – it’s your turn next! Public consultation for these two lakes opens on the 12th February 2014, so make sure you keep an eye out for the release of the discussion papers and surveys for these lakes.

Baroon no mention of the old 5 boat rule which is good also no mention of the old closure on the Bridge ck arm and Obi Obi arm upstream . Ewen Maddock the same despite the cabomba. Good outcomes in all the groups released thus far.

They will allow paddle craft only in bridge and obi obi creek. Personally I would have liked to see leccys allowed in ewan maddock but at least they did not shut it down.
 Cheers
Ray
