WARWICK REGION FISHING REPORT - 2 OCTOBER 2013

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam has been very busy over the pasts few weeks due toe school holidays.  The boating traffic has definitely increased, with both skiers and anglers enjoying the warmer weather.  Leslie has fished quite well over the past week, particularly late in the afternoon.  We had reports of anglers landing up to 12 legal sized fish in an afternoon session over the weekend, mainly on bait.  The most successful areas were up near the "Black Boys" and Cod Alley.  on Monday afternoon, one local angler caught and released 14 nice fish, just before sun down, while casting Jackalls and Megabass Power Bombs.  There were some very nice Silver and Golden Perch amongst these fish.

CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly Dam has been fishing reasonably well on bait, mainly late in the afternoons.  There were also a few legal sized Golden Perch landed on lures.  Jackall Mask Vibes, Atomic Semi Hardz and Soft Plastics accounted for a few fish.

MAROON DAM: Don't forget the Maroon Bluefin Fishing Classic being held over the weekend of November 15-17.  Some great prizes are on offer.  Brochures are available in store or for more information.

RIVERS/CREEKS: There were reports of some big Carp landed on salt water yabbies in the Condamine River at the bottom end of Palmerin Street near the Queens Park Weir.  There were also some nice Golden Perch landed in this area over the last week.  The fish are holding very tight in the structure.  There also a few nice Golden Perch landed near Scots College on salt water yabbies.
