Lake Baroon temporarily closed to all water-based activities
 Date:  24/04/2014   - Seqwater

As at Thursday 24 April, Lake Baroon remains closed to all water-based recreation activities due to ongoing water quality issues (blue-green algae). You may notice that the water has a distinctive green colour.

Please note there are no increased risks to users of the land-based recreational areas. Seqwater will continue to perform water quality testing at Lake Baroon, and the lake will be reopened as soon as possible.

Signage has been erected on-site advising of the temporary closure.

For further information please see the Seqwater blue-green algae fact sheet (http://www.previous.seqwater.com.au/sites/default/files/PDF%20Documents/Publications/Blue-green%20algae%20fact%20sheet%20Oct2011.pdf).
