Title: Feeding worms
Post by: Nathanr on August 31, 2016, 09:34:01 PM
Started a worm farm a couple of months ago and they dont seem to be doing any good, been feeding them vegetable scraps, put plenty of shredded paper and egg shells in. There's  plenty of babies but they dont seem to be growing. Does anyone know how i can fatten them up?

I assume you are going to use them for bait? If so dont use the proper composting worms as they are too small and will probably never get big enough. Just use the garden variety. I usually put the leftovers from the bought containers of worms i get in there as well. Seems to be working pretty good, just doing what you are doing with scraps and wet papers.
Cheers.

Thanks Beneel.
Yeh going to use them for bait. Thats how the worm farm started, from leftover containers. To expensive to keep buying them.
