"flipping" switch on a baitcaster

I agree with bunjee I bought a reel with a flipping switch years ago and at the time the yanks used them so that if you cast with your right hand it takes a few seconds to get the rod in your left hand at the end of the cast and then engage the reel. With the flippin swith on you hold your thumb on the spool when you cast, when it reaches your spot you take your thumb off the spool and if you get hit straight away you are automaticly in gear.

I'd forgotten about this reel, must dig around in the shed and dust it off for daughter for the winter bass season, it did turn out to be great for bait fishing for her.
