Title: Whittlin' away a couple of hours.....
Post by: estuary girl on September 16, 2010, 05:22:53 PM
Looking to fill a couple of hours before I headed to the coast to pick up a few odds and ends before the Wivy Convention, I headed down to a local hole for a surface bite fix.
After hearing reports that the fish looked like they might late or playing hide and seek I was sceptical of what I may find.Arrived to find some serious water had come down from above over night and got me thinking that just maybe this higher level had given the Bass the leg up they needed to get back home again. It also coincided with the bigger tides of the full moon as well at the time.It wasn't long before my thought pattern proved right.
Rounded the first bend and found one hiding in one of the usual haunts.Nice!
3 other's followed over the next hour with the last 2 still roed up and very fat.One at 37cm and the other at 39cm.
Hmmm...Either they decided to not go down to spawn or other reason's may be the deciding factor here.Gently got them back into the water.
Headed off the water not long after promising to return very soon.

Cheers.
