Seqwater Update on Recreation Review of Cooloolabin Dam and Wappa Dam

Dear Stakeholder,
The Honourable Mark McArdle MP, Minister for Energy and Water Supply, today (Tuesday 6th May 2014) released the Recreation Management Plan and Recreation Guides for Cooloolabin Dam and Wappa Dam. Because Poona Dam is considered to be an operational area of the Image Flat water treatment plant, it was excluded from this recreation review process.
These documents have been produced after extensive community consultation. Recreation users, local council, members of parliament, government departments and the broader community were asked to provide input on what recreational opportunities they would like to see at these lakes.
To download a copy of the Recreation Management Plan and Recreation Guides for these three lakes, please visit the Seqwater website. The Recreation Management Plan provides details of the outcomes of the review and implementation timeframes. Each Recreation Guide provides a summary of permitted activities and information regarding proposed changes.
We thank all persons and organisations for their contribution to the review of recreation at these lakes.
