Gday
Went down the road to river in kayak . It was pretty windy out in main part of river so I headed up to skinny water where its more sheltered . To my surprise there were already a lot of water dragons sun baking out and about . This was a good sign to me warm weather means the bass are more active . I noticed the rapids were flowing fast from rain last week, so positioned my kayak against rock bar and casted several times to a log just down from rapids , big bass will usally sit near rockbar waiting for baitfish to get washed down after a few minutes hooked onto something big using tsunami 2inch SP. Head shakes and it pealed line done me over on log droped the fish . So i moved downstream to an overhanging branch casted another soft plastic and a small bass took it on the drop only got small one this outing but still made me happey to achive goal .

Hi mate,
I think I may have met you last weekend while on the water. There were two of us and we were fishing in the same spot as per your photo. For what is worth, we got nothing. Missed 1 on surface a bit downstream from there on the way back.

Yah its getting pretty tough going for bass here . Going to try bassday sugar pen and duo poco next time as the weather warms up so should the action. We went for kayak on sunday agian , took a few mates up to lagoon more of a social outing than serious fishing yesterday , They realy enjoyed been out on water and looking at getting their own kayaks .
