Another cracking week, the bass have come out to play. Slow rolled vibes or ice jigging around pelican point has seen the
best results with 50+cm bass not uncommon. Trolling and bait have been working well for the Goldens with two 8 pound fish
caught on Sunday. Just remember that the bigger fish take many years to get to this size. Please enjoy your catch take that happy snap and let these old fish go. We are a stocked dam and we do promote sustainable fishing. Both Goldens and Bass have fast growth rates until around 30cm then it slows and a 50cm fish could be 15-20 years old. Please remember Sandy creek is a no boating zone and the 6 knot or no wash area in front of the camp.
