Title: Lockyer creek flowing after recent rain.
Post by: riverhunter on March 01, 2015, 10:27:21 PM
Gday
Went out to O'Riley s weir last weekend and again yesterday. Last Sunday we got power tail catfish on tsunami SP bait , he hit it on the drop . And old mate got a nice perch on spinner bait. He told me to bump spinner along bottom of river he said you will lose a few lures like that but its most effective technique. It's good to see Lockyer creek flowing again . Even seen small fish trying to swim straight up wall . And yesterday just got a few power tail catfish the biggest around 50, I used berkley mf40 soft vibes ayu colour, got a few hits but didn't hook any on vibes . Berkley frenzey popper. And atomic hards 60mm k9 surface lure. Was getting a lot of hits on surface around sunset. Although I would say kokoda gvibes or jackall tn60 would be the lures of choice during the day along with spinner baits.
Cheers Joseph
