This footage was put together by Dylan Van Der Meulen who is a Fisheries researcher based in Batemans Bay.
He has been assessing the importance of snags and other structure as spawning sites for Estuary perch.
Plankton trawls combined with acoustic tagging methods have shown that structurally complex sites are preferred spawning locations for E.P.
