Aussie Lures Deck of Cards?
« on: August 05, 2012, 10:32:36 PM »
I recently bought a pack of playing cards showing old american fishing lures 0 -52.

I got to thinking, if we were to make a pack of cards showing old Australian lures, what would be the 52 to put on them.

What do you think?

Dale, jury is still out on the King Codder being actually Australian made I and a few others have suspicions that they came from the US and were packaged and marketed here by DK Union in Melbourne. I have one that was described as a "MACK DADDY WOBBLER-FISHING LURE" from the US. The only difference I can see is the bib has a more golden hue than the silver hue on one sold as a King Codder.

Will add to the list though,,,

OMG. There's a jury?

OK, I'll go with Tassie Devil, Wonder Wobbler and Hog Back.

Dale, in the highest traditions of modern law, there are a group of peers to make sure everyone doesn't go to the dark side without good reason.......they are called lure collector forums  :))

be good to see what everybody puts forward as candidates for collector cards  :GoodPost)

If we come up with a list of 52 & can get a picture of each, I'll look into getting an artist to draw them & then into getting a deck made.
