Warwick Region Fishing Report 28/4/15

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam anglers had reasonable success earlier in the week, with some lovely fish being landed.  We received reports of a lovely 106cm Murray Cod being landed by a Toowoomba angler.  Golden Perch have been a little slow with a few nice fish being landed on bait in the main basin.  On Saturday morning, anglers had success while trolling hard body lures, with several nice Golden Perch being landed in the deeper water.  Blades are also accounting for a few nice fish.

CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly Dam anglers are landing some lovely Silver Perch off the bank on live worms.  We also received reports of a few smaller Murray Cod being landed on spinnerbaits.

MOOGERAH DAM / MAROON DAM: The bass at Moogerah dam are starting to school for the winter.  Local anglers landed some nice fish on Saturday afternoon.  These fish were landed on a variety of lures, with ice-jigs, tail spinners and blades working the best.

RIVERS AND CREEKS: The Condamine River and surrounding creeks are fishing well at the moment.  We received numerous reports of quality fish being landed over the past week.  Anglers had success on both lures and bait.  Anglers reported of some nice Golden Perch being landed in the Pratten area on hard body diving lures.  Overall, fishing in our local waterways has been the most productive over the past week or so.
