The boat ramp at Lake Wyaralong's Meebun recreation area is closed to all water based activities until further notice
Date: 22/09/2015 - Seqwater
As a precautionary measure and in the interest of public safety, the boat ramp at Lake Wyaralong's Meebun recreation area is temporarily closed to all water based activities from Tuesday 22 September 2015.
The closure is due to blue-green algae. Seqwater will be performing regular water quality testing and the closed recreation areas will be reopened as soon as possible.
The western end of the lake is currently not effected and the trails remain open.
Please note there are no increased risks to users of the land-based recreational areas.
For further information please see Seqwater Blue-green algae Fact Sheet (http://www.seqwater.com.au/sites/default/files/PDF%20Documents/Publications/2015%20A4%20Fact%20sheet%20blue%20green%20algae.pdf) and monitor this site for updates.
