Hi Guys
I think the below is pretty explanatory.
The comp is being held at Wyaralong Dam on Saturday the 9th of March. Some great prizes on offer with more coming on line. The dam is located between Boonah and Beaudesert in SEQ and is being looked after by the Logan and Albert Fish Stocking Group.
I have attached the document for those who wish to download for yourself. All monies raised to purchase fish fingerlings.
The Dam is not part of the SIP so its up to mugs like myself to raise money from events like this and a million chook raffles to get fish into the dam. We just recently released just under 50,000 bass into the dam last week.
So get behind this. Its not win the cattle station type thing, but a bit of fun removing carp from our waterways and trying to restore the balance.

Yeah mate
A week before or is that too early?
Do they have a preference or what ever is cheap?
So what Steve is on about is the edges will be peppered with pellets to bring the carp in close so every one has a chop at them.
-
Sorry but yeah thats the idea so its a fairly active day aswell.
I think a week before would be good.
I assume corn will be the main thing used if they where going to have small bait bags to purchase on the day.
I think the spangled perch would be too much of a pest if we where to burliegh worms all the time the corn will get the carp to hang around i think.
-
Now I am getting confused.
Is the carp busting 2013 or was 2012
-
Vince it is this march comming this yeah in 2013,
You will have to excuse StevenM misleading heading, sorry.
I hope I see you there for another car boot cappucino!

I find tinned creamed corn does a good job to burley them up, plenty of flavour in the water, but not to many eating size chunks ;D
Perhaps punch the tops in on a few cans and toss them in the day before to get them around? (Close enough to retrieve the empties, or tied to line of course!)
-
Might nearly be conciderd litering or poluting waterways tho the rangers out there can be a bit strange.
You bringing a deck chair out Binder ?
-
I was thinking about the creamed corn idea.
Might even mix up with some stale bread.

-
Hey fellas what's the go with camping?
There are about 6-8 free camp sites at the dam. Its first in best dressed. Other than that Beaudesert is about 10 minutes away and you have the usual bits and bobs, or Boonah would be around 20 minutes away.
-
Can LAFMA members enter ?
-
Can LAFMA members enter ?
Honestly if your not working then why not.
Its not if you have a upper hand and the more carp out the better
-
4 days to go
Cheers
Ray
