G'day guys, did a quick trip this morning in the upper reaches near BigW with my uncle.
The morning was great with plenty of surface action, though it proved hard to make them stick, only managing to land one tacker off the surface.
Things went pretty quiet for a while with only a fish every hour at most, all little tackers too, max of 35cm ish.
But later in the morning I hooked onto a good fish, didn't feel like a bass, I was right. Got it yakside, dirty Tilapia! That was my first ever, not overly keen on catching one in the first place however.. I caught another 2 over the course of a couple hours, fairly solid chunky bassards around 50cm too. One thing about them, jeez they fight alright!
But they were stowed in the back and found a new, drier home. :walkplank
Total tally was 7 tackers and 3 scummers. Twas a good day for it, fish regardless.

Around the 23-25 mark mate!
Thanks, upper brissy is lucky, it gets a pretty constant flow as it is the conduit to Mt. Crosby.
The hot weather and no flow causes a few spots to have outbreaks of some nasty endemic bacterial and fungal diseases.

Was +32 showing on the internal mounted yak ducer on Saturday mid morn on a stream I fished a bit north of yours Benny, tossed around the grubs, in the end Atomics fished deep thru some shade convinced a couple, only nips and short strikes on the curly tail for me.
