After a couple of mediocre seasons since the drought Lake Sampsonvale appears to be returning to its old glory with the onset of winter.
Been regular catches on both trolled lures but the standout catches are on live shrimp with plenty of fish over 45cm each trip and a few 50+ being common.
The schools are still moving around but once you find them the fishing is excellent.
Today the school was a hundred yards wide with the fish in 15 to 30 feet of water.
