Consultation on these two lakes was completed early in the program as a large and varied response was anticipated and received. A number of key stakeholders have been involved and it has been one of our biggest community responses to date.
Seqwater recognises the importance of these lakes to the community and is taking the comments and feedback from all review participants very seriously. The future of recreation activities at Lake Samsonvale and Lake Kurwongbah is being carefully considered to ensure we balance recreation with the core role of the lakes in providing drinking water for the community.
The release of the recreation guides for these lakes has been rescheduled to April while all of the options and associated impacts of recreation at these lakes are considered. Thanks to everyone who has shared their views with us. We appreciate your patience.
