Title: It doesn't always have to be pretty
Post by: Pete62 on October 19, 2011, 11:52:44 AM
For a lot of fisherman specially in the sweetwater, scenery and surrounds make up a big part of why we do it. I have a little stretch of water nearby that in the past has given up some cracking Bass but if this water was a girl you would call her "Homely" at best. Add to this yesterday a cold southerly and low water temps and the carcass of kangaroo that had not gone to swim lessons and my hopes were not high.
The company of a friend who was in town and a couple of Coopers Mid's made it a bit better and the conversation often got in the way of what I thought was just going to be casting practice. After a few small to midlen fish sparked our interest I was more than happy to pick up a decent fish and went home on dark a happy if not slightly smelly camper.

That's a nice fish mate, just goes to show the Bass are not as fussy about the look of the water as the fisho's are.

Pete, if that water in the background is just 'homely' you must be a bit spoilt ! - Nice wild fish mate !
