Weather/Wind Reports for Dams?

Seems this might be the section to put this question in?

As the transducer for my new fish finder is setting for the next week, I'm hoping to get onto a Dam this weekend (Wivenhoe being my first target).

Can anyone recommend where to look to get weather and wind information for Wivenhoe? I've been caught out before where general forecasts say low wind, only to rock up to the dam at 7am to an onshore gale!

If anyone knows of goods websites, or android apps that can give some fairly specific location info for different areas, let me know and I"ll check them out, will even post back my findings
