Big Dubya is now the 2nd most popular lake in Qld. Who woulda thunk it? Sorry, only registered users can see this content. Please Login or Register.

If here's been over $1million spent on lake fishing permits in Qld in the past year, I wonder how much was spent all up by rec anglers going sweetwater fishing in Qld on fuel, tackle, boats, motors, trailers, rego, bait, accommodation, camping gear, rods, reels, line, lures etc etc...??? Anyone want to take a guess?

Pure guess. Average 5 trips a year, $100 per trip, that's $5.5 million, and I'd think very conservative..

I wish I only spent $500 dollars last year. I would estimate the total spend on rec fishing in QLD would have to be in the hundreds of millions.
