Dan & I put in at the new launching spot below the dam wall for a late arvo sesh, not a scale. About thirty people fishing in the no fishing zone though, Also picked up a fair bit of rubbish in the carpark.

Cheers Andrew
I wonder what can be done about these issue Andrew raised, the trouble being kayaker will be blamed about the rubbish being in the new launch and surly Fishing in a no go zone should be police by Fisheries.

Not sure mate, a couple of points though. The no fishing rule was only in small print on the main sign board at the entrance to the walkway. There was a post next to the launch spot that may have had a no fishing sign on it but nothing on it at the moment. I did notice a camera on a post in the carpark, but this still relies on someone monitoring it & then doing something about any problems observed. I think better signage & a few more fisheries patrols might curb the problem.

Cheers Andrew

1800 017 116 is the number to ring when you see them.  If enough people ring they'll ge the message and start running more regular patrols.
