Hi Guys,
In need of some new braid before the season opens. Whats the best colour for Bass? Or does it really make that much difference?
Cheers

IMHO the color makes little difference to the fish. Get what is easier for you to see.... :tick

Thanks for that, I was hoping so, as I plan to buy a couple of spare spools and use different colour for 4, 6 and 8lb

Save your money and buy one spool of 8lb in a quality brand like Suffix. I don't think 6lb is really adequate for Bass particularly if you're fishing close to snags. Use a rod length of fluorocarbon leader of 12-15lb and use a proven knot like a back to back Uni or Improved Albright. There's really no point in going too light on Bass because quality braid is of a very fine diameter.

I like neutral colours, for Bass 10lb Fins minimum for me 20lb leader in rivers will go lighter in some dams.

I haven't found colour makes a difference. I use a high vis so it makes it easier for me to see where it is, where the fish is headed and so on. .
