I have got the bug bad, 3rd trip in as many weeks. Just an arvo/early evening session again. Launched from a reserve downstream from Texas. As its Christmas holidays, there were plenty of groups camping on the reserve and most of them were cooling off in the river with a coldie.

Did I say it was hot? The first set of rapids I was in the drink cooling off too.

The cod were still willing to play though.

There was no wind at all at dusk. The river came alive with the sound of cod boofing.

Plenty of small fellas were keen to play.

But the big ones continued to elude us, suppose it will keep me coming back.
