Arrived at western arm early this morning to find that the gate was locked. Security firm turned up at 5.45 am and unlocked it Looks like we can now kiss the early starts goodby as the official times are now 6am to 6pm and they are being adhered to..Didnt ask what happens if you are not back by 6pm or enquire about eastern arm
Cheers

I take it you arent talking about the proper ramp at the western arm with closed signs on it ? i went for a drive today and had a look at the temp ramp on the western side its a bit easier than the east.

Are you refering to the Jones Rd. ramp, the one upstream of Arkinstalls Gully Ray ?

That is the one Steve.( Elops)
Only thing wrong with the temp ramp is that there is very little fall on itwhen the dam level is down a bit.. I find its easier to jacknife trailer and launch over the side. Steve (Bushwacker)
One bonus of the gate being locked is that you no longer have to ask the backpackers to move so you can launch.

The lack of parking isnt a real great feature of the temp ramp either :-\
Are there any projected finish dates for the upgrades on the wall and what not ?

Getting a bit tiresome when you consider they planned and built Wyralong dam in the same time frame. Its now full!

Exactly what i was comparing Hinze to was wyaralong ... its taking a long time compared, Different councils i suppose.
