old reel new rod
« on: February 06, 2011, 04:04:25 PM »
I've had this Penn Generation 65 baitcaster hanging around  for a while and thought I'd put it to some use, so I bought one of the new Daiwa Spellbinder 3-6kg rods to go on it to use on Cod and Yella's with the possibility of Barra or Jacks at a later time. Anyone used one of these reels and know anything about them? It's got a good solid drag and casts well with all the blocks removed. The rod is rated to cast 7-18grams and is nice and crisp.

fishing is not essential to life, it's much more important
