Heading North
« on: December 01, 2010, 11:48:37 AM »
Hi All

Planning on heading north these holidays & am looking for some info on Teemburra & Kinchant dams, in particular where is the best spot to camp if I intend to fish both these dams over a couple of days?
Also plan to hit Faust for a couple of sessions, any hints or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers Andrew

Mate the Pinnacle Pub is a good place to stay for Teemburra Dam. Kinchant Dam has a tourist park that the lake lice love to stay at this time of year.

Peter Faust Dam? You can fish the gentle points in the main basin, troll the far side of the wall of go pegging plastic in tiger country. The last option real heart in your hands kind of fishing. I'm told a kayaker cleaned up the boaties at the recent Barra Comp there.

Cheers,

fitz..

Another option for Teemburra & Kinchant is to stay at the caravan park at Mirani  (part of the municipal swimming pool)   Its certainly nothing flash but Its pretty well in between both dams .... Mirani also has food & fuel

I heardof reports that both lakes were fishing well before all the rain they have had. Apparently they have had  a very wet season up there already.

Good luck  Andrew! :youbeauty

Hey Andrew,

When do you plan to be there?  Kyle and I are doing Teemburra and Faust towards the end of December (weather permitting)...

If we are there around the same time we could compare notes. PM me your mobile number if you're interested.
