Camping Area Closed at Lake Wyaralong

Lake Wyaralong - changes to camping at Meebun

Date: 13/01/2017   - SEQwater

From 31 January 2017, the Meebun camping area at Wyaralong Dam will be converted to a day use area. Camping will no longer be allowed.

The eight tent-only site has been subject to a number of operational and safety issues, which have created hygiene risks for visitors. The closure is a first step towards Seqwater’s master plan for recreation at Wyaralong and will help Seqwater deliver on a safe, clean and family friendly recreation space for the community.

The Ngumbi camp site continues to operate and is accessible by trails (no vehicular access). The Lilybrook camp site is also still operational, available for events by booking with recreation@seqwater.com.au

The recreation guide on their website still says camping permitted at Meebun. :Clap)
Wonder how this will affect the carp/tilapia comp? Will they give dispensation.
 Cheers
Ray
