Hi,

Does anyone know what map I can find that fishing location referred to as "Black Boys" in Leslie Dam?

G'day Bondy,

Yep,

www.sweetwaterfishing.com.au (http://www.sweetwaterfishing.com.au) > find LOCATIONS button (at top of page) > select QLD on the map > scroll down to Leslie Dam & click on the link.

I'd give you the direct link, but seriously, you need to take a look around Sweetwater as there's alot more to this site than the forum. I think we put that map up maybe 10 or 12 years ago now. The location you're asking for is clearly marked.

Cheers,

Editor,

Thanks for your assistance.

I'm still learning the ropes so to speak. Yes, sweetwater has a lot going apart from the forums.

Cheers,

I went fishing up near the black boys and where it usually is deep and wide was nothing but a trickle of water about a meter wide if that I was shocked , they say it's 79.4 percent but maybe all this time it was actually up higher in percent then that I dunno .

Oh, Ok, I did not know it was that bad. That has placed a spanner in the works.

Anywhere else one can go landbased to catch yellowbelly or silver perch?

What bait would be preferred for these species?

In sweetwater there aint no better bait than live macrobrachium or long arm prawn, commonly refered to as shrimp.

Thanks for that  :youbeauty. I know bass love shrimp was not sure about the others. Seems like a good universal bait
