The old creek has a good flow in it Pam. We have camped & fished just down from there a bit at the winery, can't remember the name of it at the moment. I think there will be plenty of water down that way for a while now. Hoping to get down into Sundown sometime after Xmas & do some exploring in the kayak.

Cheers Andrew

Yes I was really quite annoyed that i didn't have the yak with me. I had been creek hopping on the Qld side for no luck so chucked it in and took the trip way inland to see what was happening. It would have been nice paddling there.

Saw what I think was a platypus working the surface.
It would sit mid stream with its nose out then rise up and under, so sleek I thought it was a fish at first.

Hi Pam,

When did you take those pics? I've paddled that river several times now. Lots of good size carp & small cod. With a flow like that there's be some fun water downstream. Have some video from there with a bit of a flow.

With a good flow

Whoooohoooo.  Fitzy I took those pics yesterday on the 14/10/10.

There was clear evidence of the bridge having gone under recently. My guess is it would have been about 2 and half weeks ago with all the rain we have had.

Nice spot there, the winery nearby is Reedy Creek.

Cheers
