Come celebrate this year's Father's Day on the Bremer River in Ipswich by entering Ipswich's very first Father's Day Fishing Fest!  We've got some fantastic prizes lined up thank to great sponsors and partners, a free bbq and some entertainment to keep the kids happy.  This is a catch-photo-release event designed to promote the river as a great location for your recreational activities and the importance to keep our riverways healthy.

This is a free event  :)  Registrations prior to the event on Ipswich City Council's webpage is essential, as places are limited.  You can also check out the great prizes on the page.

It's a fairly small system, it gets flogged as it is, this sure won't help matters any, probably make it worse, white bucket brigade will be out in force soon.
Could be a car park on the water for the competition too, be crazy packed on that small river!

Did you read the "limited numbers" bit.  Great idea by Ipswich Council.  What a shame the Somerset Council don't do something to promote their river access around Lowood and Fernvale.
